We are looking for a Software Engineer who wants a new challenge at a fast-growing, digital health startup. You’ll have a direct impact on the optimize.health platform and will be quickly given ownership of a large part of our codebase. Your work will be critical in maintaining and developing new web services within our HIPAA-compliant platform. 

You must have experience working on an agile software team that has developed and shipped software to users. You must have experience writing test cases, reviewing code, managing releases, tracking bugs, and maintaining production deployments.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Optimize Health’s mobile platform strategy and development across mobile platforms.
• Work with users, product management and UI/UX teams to design and build products that improve the health of remote patient monitoring patients.
• Must be delivery focused, with a strong willingness to perform all tasks required to complete the job and meet deadlines. Will be a hands on coder.
• Proactively identifies potential roadblocks or performance/productivity concerns. Determines, and executes on, strategy for resolution.
• Coordinate and lead a team of primarily outsourced mobile developers using an agile scrum process to deliver timely value to our users.
• Integrate with bluetooth devices via SDKs or Bluetooth GATT to capture patient measurements.
• Help improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation and performing code reviews.
• Integrate with our backend services to make sure we are delivering a great mobile user experience that is super-fast for end users.
• Problem-solving skills and the abilities to analyze quantitatively, scope technical requirements and effectively prioritize program deliverables
• Technical innovator and thought leader, with ability to demonstrate and inspire continuous learning, experimentation, and data and metrics-driven decision making.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience developing amazing solutions and experiences on iOS and Android, including development framework selection, cross platform, API integration, and automated testing.
• Familiarity with all aspects of submitting, managing test and production releases of apps in the Google Play store and Apple App Store.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 8-10 years of demonstrable experience in mobile development.
• React Native application development experience.
• iOS application development experience using Swift/Objective-C or Android application development experience using Kotlin/Java.
• A thorough understanding of OOP, design patterns, mobile, and enterprise in mobile application integration.
• Ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts and technologies.
• Experience in an Agile environment.
• A thorough understanding of security implications of developing for mobile devices.
