The Crossplane team is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer who wants to build the platform that will power this new open cloud in a community driven environment with high visibility. This work is all happening in the open, so if you have ever wanted to work on open source projects, this is your chance!

We are actively scaling a globally distributed effort around the open source Crossplane project (https://crossplane.io/), and we are looking for solid engineers experienced with Kubernetes, cloud computing, and distributed systems to take this effort to the next level. In this role, you can expect to...

• Contribute and lead the development of critical features in the open source Crossplane project (https://crossplane.io/)
• Code primarily in Golang
• Actively engage with and nurture open source communities
• Take complete ownership to drive feature development from design through testing and release
• Write clean, production ready code that reliably manages enterprise workloads and elegantly handles failures in real world environments at scale
• Extend the Kubernetes API with custom controllers and resources
• Integrate with public cloud APIs to provision and deploy managed services
• Create new frameworks and tooling focused at improving developer experience and productivity
• Work on scheduling algorithms to optimize and deploy applications across disparate cloud environments
• Represent Upbound in special interest groups, conferences, and meetups
