STARLINK MANUFACTURING ENGINEER (TEST LAB)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and own tooling for production-level environmental testing (vibration, thermal, shock, thermal vacuum)
  • Collaborate with Environments, Engineering, and Production to define environmental test equipment specifications, identify vendors, justify spend, qualify equipment and introduce to production
  • Develop and maintain production process documentation
  • Root cause analysis of equipment, tooling, and procedure-related in-process issues
  • Drive improvements in production methods, standards, tooling, equipment, layout, procedures, product designs and employee efficiency to reduce labor costs and maximize quality
  • Perform return on investment analysis for capital spend proposals
  • Prepare production reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering 

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting environmental test chambers such as: Vibration, HALT/HASS, and TVAC
  • Demonstrated ability to program in relevant test languages, such as Beckhoff PLC, C#, MSSQL, and Python
  • Demonstrated experience with design, maintenance, and operation of LN2 systems
  • Demonstrated experience with design, maintenance, and operation of cryo-vacuum systems
  • Demonstrated experience with design, maintenance, and operation of thermal test chambers
  • Demonstrated experience with design and manufacture of electrical test harnesses
  • Demonstrated ability to understand analysis required to set test levels such as: vibration, and thermal levels
  • Ability to perform test data analysis to determine pass/fail and in-family as well as root cause anomalies

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Position may require extended hours and weekend work
