Pivotal Commware develops 5G communications platforms, systems and applications based on Holographic Beam Forming® , a patented breakthrough in electromagnetic physics. HBF allows Pivotal to create software-defined antennas that can harness, shape and direct radio waves with order-of magnitude advantages over legacy beamforming systems in cost, size, weight and power consumption (C-SWaP). We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer who will be responsible for developing in coming quality reports for mechanical parts and working with procurement to qualify new suppliers. This position will work heavily with the ME, EE and purchasing departments to grow and maintain our supplier relationships. This position reports to the Director of NPI. 

 

Responsibilities:

•Track and qualify or disqualify suppliers according to organization's quality standards.

•Maintain successful relationships with supply, engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory departments.

•Report supplier performance and quality to management.

•Assist in the development and implementation of supplier management programs.

•Identify technical problems with suppliers and implement corrective actions

•Conduct capability assessments that verify supplier qualifications

Required Qualifications:

•3-5+ years of producing and presenting defect data, metrics, supplier quality, improvement initiatives and status to top leadership

•3-5+ years’ experience with complex quality management systems, including inspection optimization and/or APQP

•5-7+ years’ experience using data to find root cause, develop solutions and implement corrective action plans

•3-5+ years utilizing statistical analysis tools to implement / improve quality assurance processes in a production environment

•3-5+ years' experience in supplier requirements and supplier improvement initiatives (e.g. PPAP,PFMEA,Kaizen)

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Technology

•Proficient in ISO 9001 

•Proficient in M/S Outlook, Word, Excel

•Ability to travel both domestically and internationally

Desirable Experience:

•Experience implementing quality engineering principles through development and NPI programs

•ASQ -Certified Quality Engineer, Auditor, or Six Sigma Green / Black Belt

•3-5+ years’ experience with Design of Experiments, Cp/CPk, Process Control Charts, Defect Analysis, Key Performance Indicators

•Experience with hands-on inspection or utilizing calibrated inspection tools

•Project Management Experience

•Proficiency in Minitab

•Excellent people skills and adaptability

Physical Requirements

•Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

•Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods (50% of the time).
