Boeing's Commercial Program Estimating Org, is searching for a dynamic Factory Estimating Manager to lead and oversee the estimating team in Renton, WA or Everett, WA.
This estimating team is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and business cases for commercial factory projects. This role combines hands-on estimating expertise with team leadership, ensuring high-quality deliverables, efficient workflows, and alignment with company and stakeholder objectives. The Manager will mentor and develop estimating staff, coordinate cross-functional collaboration, and drive continuous improvement in estimating processes.

Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development of detailed cost estimates for compulsory and discretionary improvements to manufacturing, safety, and quality
- Lead and maintain development and improvements to estimating tools and models
- Oversee the integration of complex business cases incorporating non-recurring and recurring costs, revenue, and capital assumptions
- Understand financial colors of money and their correct applications
- Present to senior leaders within the organization
- Develop dashboards, visualizations, and reporting tools to provide real time visibility of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Leverage data mining and predictive analytics to improve basis of estimates
- Foster acceptance and curiosity of artificial intelligence and machine learning projects
- Partner with manufacturing teams to understand production processes, constraints, and cost drivers
- Work with business operations and program finance to align estimates with financial plans, forecasts, and program objectives
- Support program leadership with clear, concise analysis to inform strategic decisions
- Identify and lead process improvements to enhance estimating accuracy and reduce cycle time
- Drive standardization of estimating practices across the team
- Supervise and mentor teammates and others
- Foster a collaborative, high performance environment

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5+ years experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 8+ years of experience in estimating/business case analysis
- Experience working with manufacturing, safety, or quality
- Experience working with financial/risk analysis
- Experience working with large cross-functional teams, interfacing and presenting to senior management
- Familiarity with statistical analysis methodologies (cost estimating relationships, sim-to estimating, analogous estimating etc.), as they relate to the costing of aerospace products
