Are you an Excel expert with corporate accounting and/or finance experience who enjoys digging into daily operations in support of the big picture? Do you love solving problems and are willing to do whatever it takes to find a solution? Are you an accountant at heart, but able to wear many hats and juggle competing priorities in a dynamic environment? If so, we're looking for a candidate like you.

What You'll Do at Wrench

As an Accountant, you’ll report to our Director of Finance and work on a tight-knit team dedicated to increasing Wrench’s efficiency and process development. We work in a collaborative environment, meaning you’ll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact on the company’s growth and have fun while doing it.

Job Duties

  • Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities, including bank and credit card reconciliations, inventory management, and account analysis
  • Prepare and review JEs for accuracy
  • Accounts Payable: Expense management and invoice tracking
  • Accounts Receivable: Track and process incoming revenue; work directly with Engineering and Product teams to improve invoicing and tracking payments
  • Payroll processing: Assist HR with payout calculations and related payroll JEs
  • Assist with state and local tax returns
  • Assist with annual financial statement audit and federal tax return prepared by external accountants
  • Assist Director in transitioning to new ERP system
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of key accounting policies and procedures, utilizing GAAP
  • Other ad-hoc reporting and projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1-2 years of experience in a corporate accounting or finance role
  • AP & AR account reconciliations
  • Cash management experience
  • Advanced Excel skill-set including experience creating: Pivot Tables, Complex Logic Formulas, and Cash Forecasting
  • Familiarity with GAAP reporting requirements
