WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

This entry-level role will support our Accounting operations and perform a variety of tasks. Once trained, you will take ownership of Accounts Receivable and assist where needed in Accounts Payable. You will grow to be proficient with the General Ledger and multi-task across a variety of projects. Newly graduated students with a Bachelor’s degree are encouraged to apply.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Accounts Receivable:

  • Resolve Accounts Receivables discrepancies and issues
  • Prepare and submit bank deposits
  • Prepare reconciliations, reports and weekly aging/issues review
  • Post all cash receipts, discounts, allowances, price difference, returns and other chargebacks to customer accounts on a daily basis
  • Represent Accounting in the AR Policy document
  • Reconcile AR aging as part of the month end close

Accounts Payable:

  • Process Accounts Payable transactions from invoice to payment, verifying that established procedures are followed, appropriate internal controls are maintained, and creating records according to company standard
  • Create and issue purchase orders, as needed
  • Process Petty Cash requests and employee reimbursements, maintain the log, and prepare ledger reconciliation
  • Process, distribute, and collect any approved Cash or Expense Advances
  • Upkeep of W-9 records, including preparation and distribution to vendors
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries
  • Identify daily activity in bank accounts
  • Reconcile AP aging at month end

General Ledger:

  • Daily cash transactions
  • Assist with month end closing
  • Provide monthly aging reports
  • Enter general ledger transactions, as needed
  • Research issues, prepare reconciliations, and other special projects, as needed
  • Keep USA cash requirements worksheet actively up-to-date

Other:

  • Back up for the Shipping Clerk
  • Prepare labels and maintain paper files as needed within the department
  • Review inventory levels weekly
  • Order inventory products maintaining appropriate levels
  • Material transfer process of inventory to regional offices

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Entry-level, 0-1 years of accounting experience
  • Ability to maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with Accounting policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Dedicated to a high level of confidentiality
  • Must be highly detailed, accurate and organized in your work
  • Deadline-oriented
  • Experience with MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook
  • Committed to maintaining professional working relationships with vendors, customers, and staff
  • Ability to multi-task throughout the work day

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business degree with Accounting emphasis is required

  • This is a full-time position
  • At this time, we are not offering relocation packages
