What You'll Do at Wrench
As an Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist, you’ll report to our Director of Finance and work on a tight-knit team dedicated to increasing Wrench’s efficiency and process development. We work in a collaborative environment, meaning you’ll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact on the company’s growth and have fun while doing it.
Job Duties
- Process biweekly multi-state payroll
- Maintain employee payroll and benefit information, resolve employee inquiries
- Review and process garnishments, benefits, 401(k) contributions, and custom deductions
- Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities, including bank and credit card reconciliations, inventory management, and account analysis
- Prepare and review JEs for accuracy
- Accounts Payable: Expense management and invoice tracking
- Accounts Receivable: Track and process incoming revenue; work directly with Engineering and Product teams to improve invoicing and tracking payments
- Business Operations: Assist with registering company in new states and cities
- Prepare state and local tax returns
- Assist with annual financial statement audit and federal tax return prepared by external accountants
- Assist in the development and maintenance of key accounting policies and procedures, utilizing GAAP
- Other ad-hoc reporting and projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-2 years of experience in a corporate accounting or finance role
- AP & AR account reconciliations
- Multi-state payroll experience
- You embrace the startup life; you’re an adaptable achiever who is ready to take off on Day One
- Bonus Points if you have worked with Sage IntAcct or Paychex
