Chief Financial Officer

Your Role and Impact
You will be responsible for the financial direction of the business, including all aspects of accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, facilities, and internal controls. In partnership with the CEO, you will lead efforts to plan, develop, and implement the long and short-term financial strategy, including support in raising capital, as the 98point6 team works to make primary care services accessible and affordable to all.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of programs/strategies and regulatory action
- Manage, prepare and support, monthly close and internal reporting of all financial items
- Continually improve the budgeting and forecasting process through education of leadership on financial issues impacting department budgets
- Develop, implement and relentlessly improve policies and procedures by way of operational systems that continually build health in the business
- Optimize banking relationships and strategies to enhance cash management
- Manage insurance portfolio
- Provide financial and strategic perspective on contracts and commitments
- Communicate effectively with our board and shareholders
- Ensure legal, tax and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions
- Lead, coach and retain a high caliber finance team consistent with company values
Requirements
- 15+ years of related experience in a fast paced growth environment; technology industry experience required, healthcare industry experience a plus
- Experience as a CFO or VP of Finance
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required, Master's and/or CPA preferred
- Experience with raising capital highly preferred
- A deep understanding of GAAP, as well as the ability to understand complex tax regulatory issues
- Experience with development and management of internal controls
- Experience selecting and managing key external advisors (tax, audit, real estate, etc)
- Ability to excel when surrounded by ambiguity and changing business requirements
- Must possess high levels of intellect, drive and energy. Must be self‐confident, team‐oriented, and work with the highest values and integrity
- Desire to work in an exceptionally fast paced environment where requirements and deliverables change frequently
