Compensation Manager - Location Flexible
Role Description
We’re looking for an experienced Compensation professional to join our Compensation Team. We collaborate with HR partners and business leaders to design and implement compelling compensation programs. We advise on compensation matters with in-depth analytics and strategic alignment to business goals. In this role, you will be client-facing and aligned to the Global Commercial Organization. You will be managing compensation programs, analyzing data, developing compensation proposals and collaborating with partners to put together recommendations for the business.
Responsibilities
- Drive Dropbox’s compensation philosophy and programs for your client teams.
- Build a consultative and collaborative relationship with HR business partners, recruiters, business leaders on compensation programs and initiatives.
- Manipulate and analyze data sets to distill insights, convey findings and make recommendations to business partners.
- Research best practices and trends, perform analysis on effectiveness, competitiveness and fairness of existing programs. Present findings and thoughtful alternative solutions that are aligned with Dropbox’s philosophy.
- Build and deliver compensation-related training and education materials to your client teams.
- Work with the Recruiting team to deliver a delightful new hire process by applying Dropbox compensation policies in fair and equitable ways. This includes new hire offer package consultation to ensure alignment to market and internal peers.
- Work on core compensation projects and improve internal processes to scale (e.g. compensation policies, new hires/transfers compensation, spot bonus programs, market benchmarking). Continually improve and iterate on internal comp projects and processes
- Assist with the delivery of annual compensation processes, including base salary merit increases and equity grants.
- Support effective compensation governance across Dropbox teams.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree and/or 4+ years of experience in compensation, preferably with demonstrated adaptability and experience in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical skills to effectively analyze data and build meaningful, understandable models, reports and metrics.
- Experience with identifying insights from large sets of data that could be useful for making business decisions
- Advanced Excel skills and process documentation skills (interview process may include an Excel test)
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally, influence and partner
