Your Role and Impact
You will report to the CFO to provide leadership for 98point6’s accounting and tax team. In partnership with the Executive team, you’ll guide the financial direction of the business, including all aspects of accounting, tax compliance, and internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the financial impact of new programs/strategies and regulatory action
- Manage the ongoing development of more efficient and effective financial processes and services to ensure they are appropriate as we scale
- Relentlessly improve processes and policies for accurate and timely month-end close
- Ensure legal, tax and regulatory compliance regarding all accounting functions
- Provide a financial perspective on contracts and commitments made by the company
- Lead, coach, and retain a fast growing, high caliber accounting team
Requirements
- CPA required
- 10+ years of related experience in a fast paced growth environment; technology or healthcare industry experience a plus
- Experience as a Controller or VP of Finance
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in accounting, finance, or related field
- 3+ years of public accounting experience preferred
- A deep understanding of GAAP and tax
- Passion for driving sound decisions, process and procedures in a nationwide business
- Ability to excel when surrounded by ambiguity and changing business requirements
- Passion to grow within a business that has complex corporate and regulatory needs
- Must possess high levels of intellect, drive and energy. Must be self‐confident, team‐oriented, and work with the highest values and integrity
- Desire to work in an exceptionally fast paced environment where requirements and deliverables change frequently
