A Look Inside the Role...

Cost Analyst has overall responsibility for analyzing all costs and pricing at Wyze with the purpose of finding cost reduction and variance opportunities. This will include:

• Costing and pricing analysis & variance reporting
• Analysis of actual, standard, and quoted costs for labor and materials
• Analyze variances for sales orders and purchase orders
• Analyze COGS and expenses
• Providing managers and team with clear, understandable, and useful reports and metrics
• Using data and relevant analysis, advises manager on improvement of profit margins, and cost of goods and services.
• Review, interpret, analyze and communicates important financial information to leadership team.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts as assigned
• Perform special projects as requested

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, accounting, supply chain or related.
• 2-3 years general accounting experience
• Cost and inventory accounting experience highly preferred
• Experience with data/financial analysis, and specifically with product costing, variance analysis, profit margin analysis.
• Using advance functions in Excel and Pivot Tables.
• Experience with setting up and working with cost methods in ERP
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to maintain positive working relationships with staff at all levels in an organization
