Director – FP&A
Highspot’s Finance and Accounting team is adding this new position in order to help scale and support our fast-growing international SaaS company. This is an integral position in the financial management of the company with the opportunity to work closely with an experienced executive team to build and enhance the company’s financial processes. This position reports to the VP of Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the company’s sales model + operating model, evolving the model as the company grows and expands
  • Manage the finance department, training any new employees as necessary
  • Establish internal work processes for finance department (including partnering with accounting)
  • Stay abreast of current market trends and patterns and act accordingly
  • Drive insights and analysis into compensation, including optimization of sales commission/variable compensation plans
  • Lead monthly financial reporting and variance analysis, working with functional leaders to review operating results for their business function
  • Design and maintain materials utilized in the company’s monthly business review with executives
  • Work with the finance team and company leadership to design and maintain board materials and other ad-hoc analyses 
  • Perform scenario analysis on company performance to help drive solid financial decisions that optimize the business and support investment decisions
  • Oversee forecasting of equity burn rate for stock and equity plans
  • Participate as a finance-team representative for key ERP and other financial system upgrades, implementations and integrations
  • Enhance the company’s insights into KPI’s, with deep dives on certain KPI’s as needed
  • Identify opportunities to optimize spend and work to reduce costs

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of related experience performing financial analysis in the technology industry, preferably in SaaS
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with key business partners
  • Experience building, mentoring, and scaling high-performance teams
  • Direct involvement in forecasting and measuring the results of global expansion
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work independently in fast-paced, rapidly growing, and ambiguous environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel required, ideally also leveraging SQL
  • Flexible, driven, organized, and detail oriented
  • Skilled at using financial modeling software to streamline and scale company forecasting
  • Experience in multi-tasking and prioritization to meet challenging deadlines 
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of GAAP fundamentals
  • Outstanding integrity, solid moral judgment, and the ability to make important decisions under pressure

Location

Our HQ is located within walking distance of Pike Place Market and the Seattle Piers. With amazing 360 views of the Puget Sound and Downtown Seattle. The only downside, there are almost too many places to pick for your lunch meetings.
