Director of Finance

We’re looking for an experienced finance leader to take us to our next stage of growth. In this role, you will play an integral role in planning and forecasting, leveraging data and reporting to provide insight into business performance, and building out our current finance organization. You will be working collaboratively across teams including Engineering, Customer Success, Product, Operations, and with executive leadership. You will be a voice at the table in strategic decisions directly impacting growth, profitability, and capital allocation. You’ll own projects from ideation to completion, establish new best practices, and oversee implementing tools to help create automation and efficiency. What you’ll work on:
- Lead a critical organization in the business. Lead the Finance organization’s operational needs around scaling processes, systems, and tools driving efficiency and automation. Provide hands-on mentorship and leadership to the team.
- Drive key financial processes. Oversee regular forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes, including long range forecasting; compare actual results to financial plans with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
- Be an influential partner to our leaders. Support the CEO in analyzing trends in operating performance and identifying opportunities for growth for the company including providing actionable recommendations for optimizing business performance.
- Define long-term strategy and roadmaps. Define long-term strategy, help drive prioritization, analyze trade-offs, and collaborate on the overall Financial systems roadmap to improve existing and future state of operations.
- Collaborate and drive decisions across functions. Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product to provide guidance and strategy over new product domains and pricing strategy.
- Leverage analytical skills to identify opportunities and risks. Analyze monthly financial data in management reporting, including critical operational KPI for arbitrage opportunities and risks to the company.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics
- 10+ years progressive FP&A experience and/or strategic finance experience, including 5+ years of direct management experience
- Ability to influence decision making at the executive level and align incentives across multiple stakeholders
- Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills, and able to apply reporting and data towards practical business problems
- Proficiency with modern systems and automated reporting tools, and strong Excel capabilities
- Experience leading and developing high performance, inclusive finance teams
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize business needs, adapt to rapid business changes, meet tight deadlines, and adhere to budgets
