We are looking for a Director of FP&A to build and scale our financial planning and analysis function at Flyhomes.  This role will report to our VP of Finance, and contribute to Flyhomes’s success by helping build the foundations for our Finance team. The role requires strong business acumen, project management, ability to conceptualize and create business models, comfort building from the ground up, and leadership abilities to align all levels of the company around your ideas. What You’ll Do 

  • Partner with executive team leaders throughout the company to develop forecasts, financial models, analytical insights, and key metrics
  • Manage Flyhome’s full financial model, build and lead an annual budgeting process, near-term forecasting, and long-range planning cross functionally 
  • Develop and prepare recurring internal and external stakeholder financial reporting packages (for example, Board of Directors materials) 
  • Partner with the Business Operations, Accounting and Analytics teams to forecast and analyze Flyhome’s key operating metrics, and work on other corporate finance and strategic initiatives 
  • Identify and lead initiatives to improve the automation of financial planning and data systems
  • Partner closely with business leaders to deeply understand how the business works, connect that to financial statements/reporting and build out forecast views to support better business decisions
  • Provide analytical framework and support for new market launches and the design of product pricing, rebates, and bundling strategies 
  • Track macroeconomic and market-specific performance indicators within real estate and mortgage
  • Implement repeatable operating protocols and systems that enhance financial rigor, enable more thinking and less data manipulation, and bring controls yet allow for the nimbleness and investment needed at a fast-growing company
  • Develop financial analyses that provides senior leaders with timely insights into trends, topline and profitability, and growth drivers

What You’ll Bring 

  • 7+ years of relevant financial analysis or business analysis
  • Are an experienced people leader who can build a function from the ground up, doing all of the work independently in the beginning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a distinct capability of communicating complex financial information in an easy to understand format
  • Ability to operate at depth, understanding the details of our business model, while also being able to “zoom out” to connect the dots across the Company
  • Demonstrated success in developing and applying concepts, practices and procedures of financial planning and analysis. Outstanding forecasting methods and techniques. Advanced analytical and quantitative abilities
  • Track record of thinking strategically, and objectively. Able to effectively translate data into actionable insights, strategies, and financial plans
  • Ability to work under pressure and to adapt to changing circumstances while applying analytical and technical skills to shape corporate initiatives
  • Ability to build collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships with all stakeholders and effectively manage conflict resolution. Success in creating an inclusive culture that builds trust between cross-functional teams to drive the success of the entire company
  • Have owned a finance, investment banking, consulting and/or strategic finance function in a high-growth environment
  • Able to demonstrate strategic, critical thinking
  • Inclusive team player with excellent cross group collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to drive and complete projects independently
  • Interest in creating and building from zero to one
