The Director (or Senior Manager) of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting will lead the Company’s SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting and be responsible for the financial reporting functions. This role will have a key role in the drafting of an S-1, Outreach’s IPO readiness and for all future SEC filings. The role is also responsible for maintaining a best-in-class technical accounting function and keeping the business up to date on all new accounting pronouncements and drive timely and responsible adoption of new pronouncements. The role reports to the Controller and will collaborate cross-functionally on SEC reporting processes and ensure proper and complete disclosures as necessary. The role will have a strong understanding of the business, the overall Sales Engagement market and corresponding required regulatory filings and disclosures.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Lead the timely and accurate preparation of internal and external financial reports, footnotes, disclosures and supporting documentation, including reports filed with the SEC on Forms S-1 10-Q, 10-K, ensuring financial statements are in accordance with US GAAP
  • Manage the process for all responses to SEC Comment Letters and work with Finance, Legal, and other orgs to ensure complete and timely responses 
  • Support FP&A and Investor Relations with quarterly earnings releases, investor presentations and other external facing info
  • Manage accounting for stock-based compensation for compliance under ASC 718, including monthly journal entries and reporting, forecasting and memo
  • Prepare Earnings Per Share under ASC 260 and forecasted share count 
  • Review the Statement of Cash Flow under ASC 230 
  • Develop policies and internal controls as necessary depending on changes in accounting standards and changes in the business 
  • Prepare analyses and other information to support the annual audit and quarterly reviews with external auditors
  • Provide guidance on new and complex accounting standards and work with key stakeholders to assess impact on future transactions
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to implement and maintain internal controls

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 
  • CPA or equivalent 
  • 8+ years of experience at a “Big 4” public accounting firm and public company reporting, including significant SEC experience with companies with global operations, SaaS or other technology
  • Experience with SEC reporting tools and XBRL
