About the role:

The Finance Manager is a key player in supporting the rapid growth and expansion of the Icertis business by working across all business teams to drive deep understanding of SAAS key performance indicators. The Finance Manager will partner with the FP&A Lead to build scalable business processes and systems to support quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting and long-range planning. The Finance Manager will collaborate with leaders across the business to ensure that the company’s resources are allocated and managed for maximum business success – demonstrating strong analysis and business insight skills. The Finance Manager is also responsible for some internal and external financial reporting. The role requires strong analytical skills, with experience building complex financial models, a high-degree of cross-organizational collaboration, the ability to influence, a proactive nature and a bias for action.

What you will do:

  • Leads the financial planning and forecasting processes of the organization, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasting and long-range plans, working closely with the FP&A Lead, CFO and the Department executives.
  • Manages the Workday Adaptive Planning system used for forecasting and reporting processes, owning rollup of financial forecasts and budgets and driving automation of reporting across FP&A.
  • Identifies and implements system and process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of planning and reporting workflows
  • Develops, maintain and analyze key performance indicators such as Bookings, ARR, Customer Upsells, Net Retention/Churn, Services efficiencies, cash flow forecasting, etc.
  • Prepares Board and Investor reporting along with other financial analyses as needed to help drive improvements in the business. Current focus areas include market expansion opportunities, competitive benchmarking analyses, pricing and strategic financial optimization strategies.
  • Goal is to develop a deep understanding of the business metrics with an eye towards understanding the benefits and risks from a financial perspective and helping to manage key business drivers and desired outcomes. 

What you will bring:

  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented with a commitment to creating a high-quality product. Naturally inquisitive and able to extract information from various sources to identify and understand the underlying issue. Not afraid to question results.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting to senior level business audiences.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles required including revenue recognition, amortization, and accrual vs. cash accounting. Must have a general understanding of financial statements.
  • Prior success working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, taking initiative and working independently.
  • Combination of experience in start-ups and public companies preferred. IPO experience is a plus.
  • 6+ years of experience in finance or accounting role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics-oriented major
  • Expert with Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, Adaptive Planning & SaaS experience a plus
