Icertis is seeking to fill the position of a financial analyst focused primarily on sales compensation and sales analytics. The person who holds this position will be responsible for accurately calculating sales commissions for a variety of compensation plans, providing in-depth analysis of sales performance and commissions earned, and assisting with ad-hock modeling. The ideal candidate will be detailed oriented, have very strong excel and financial modeling skills, be able to execute and multiple concurrent projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be an effective communicator.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate and administer monthly sales commissions for Icertis’s global sales organization.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate, and organized records of commission calculations and payments and clearly communicate results to sales personnel.
  • Research and resolve commission inquiries and discrepancies and escalating issues to appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Build financial models to evaluate plan scenarios and help forecast the cost of incentive compensation programs and plan designs
  • Manage monthly commission review meetings with sales, finance and HR
  • Prepare sales commission accruals to support the monthly accounting close process
  • Participate in cross-functional team responsible for compensation design process: collaborate with sales management, HR, finance and sales operations teams throughout all phases of plan design and deployment.
  • Provide monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis around sales performance and commission attainment. Assist finance and sales management in evaluating the overall effectiveness of the compensation model.
  • Challenge the status quo through continuous process improvements
  • Manage special projects and perform duties as required

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of financial analysis experience, experience supporting a global sales organization is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience building detailed financial models
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tell the story behind the numbers
  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar quantitative field
