Carta is hiring a Financial Analyst to join the team.

This role requires the highest level of responsibility - analysts in this role are primarily responsible for determining audit-defensible work product for Carta clients. In this role, you'll be part of a highly dynamic team that's creating the future of private capital markets.

This role is responsible for:

  • Analyzing privately-held securities
  • Interfacing with client management teams to understand value drivers across various industries
  • Adapting one’s analysis to specified formats, templates, styles and deadlines when creating reports
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Collaborating with other team members to share information and insights
  • Being knowledgeable about a wide range of companies and industries
  • Working with and improving Carta financial software tools and models

Requirements:

  • Expert-level understanding of common financial concepts (WACC, DCF, Black-Scholes OPM), and portfolio theory
  • Expert-level understanding of common accounting statements
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and apply them to new markets
  • A strong preference for creating new products over following established processes
  • Minimum of 2 years of client-facing experience

Nice-to-haves:

  • MS Finance, CFA, or equivalent
  • Strong mathematics, finance or accounting background
  • Work experience at a major auditing firm
  • Work experience at a major business consulting firm
  • Expert-level understanding of Excel
  • Mid-level or greater software development background in any major language
