Carta is hiring a Financial Analyst to join the team.
This role requires the highest level of responsibility - analysts in this role are primarily responsible for determining audit-defensible work product for Carta clients. In this role, you'll be part of a highly dynamic team that's creating the future of private capital markets.
This role is responsible for:
- Analyzing privately-held securities
- Interfacing with client management teams to understand value drivers across various industries
- Adapting one’s analysis to specified formats, templates, styles and deadlines when creating reports
- Managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Collaborating with other team members to share information and insights
- Being knowledgeable about a wide range of companies and industries
- Working with and improving Carta financial software tools and models
Requirements:
- Expert-level understanding of common financial concepts (WACC, DCF, Black-Scholes OPM), and portfolio theory
- Expert-level understanding of common accounting statements
- Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and apply them to new markets
- A strong preference for creating new products over following established processes
- Minimum of 2 years of client-facing experience
Nice-to-haves:
- MS Finance, CFA, or equivalent
- Strong mathematics, finance or accounting background
- Work experience at a major auditing firm
- Work experience at a major business consulting firm
- Expert-level understanding of Excel
- Mid-level or greater software development background in any major language
