Role Description

As a Fixed Asset Accountant, you will be a key member of the Corporate Accounting team, and will be focused on the company’s infrastructure fixed assets and finance leases.  You will collaborate closely with many key business partners and teams within and outside of the finance organization, and we are looking for someone who will dive into the details and work to build scalable and efficient processes as the company continues to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the infrastructure fixed asset and lease portfolio, from the full-cycle accounting close process through internal and external reporting
  • Work cross-functionally with key members of finance and infrastructure operations teams to manage day-to-day tasks and larger projects
  • Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules for fixed assets and related areas
  • Manage the flow of data through integral accounting systems
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and update documentation as necessary
  • Gather schedules for external auditors for the financial statement audit process
  • Create reports and analyses for management review
  • Assist with and manage special projects as needed
  • Gain a deep understanding of the Dropbox business model to review and analyze key metrics

Requirements

  • Proven track record in industry accounting with full-cycle monthly close processes and reconciliation preparation
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with emphasis for experience with accounting for fixed assets
  • Top performer who is willing to dive into the details and who is looking to gain experience and grow with Dropbox
  • Exceptional communication skills and being able to communicate effectively in all directions
  • Detail-oriented with great organizational skills, and motivated to succeed in a remote environment
  • Execution-focused, with the ability to take individual responsibility for delivering quality work in a timely manner
  • Experience in the tech industry and familiarity with ASC 842, Oracle Cloud, and Alteryx a plus
