Team Description:

The FP&A team is responsible for establishing our financial infrastructure and strategy. We combine analytical and critical thinking to help Dropbox scale its global brand and continue on an outstanding trajectory.

Role Description:

In this role, the first FP&A hire outside the US, you will be a key finance partner to our international Sales team and provide business intelligence & analytics support to the FP&A team. You will play a meaningful role in areas such as ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) forecasting and planning, spend management, measuring the success of critical initiatives, driving analytical insights, deal structuring and approvals, and evaluating resource investments for the internet sales operations. You will also gain deep knowledge of Dropbox’s wealth of data and apply your technical data skills to build an outstanding foundation shown by your FP&A peers to drive strategy and improve company operations. Your work will play a crucial part in ensuring Dropbox makes sound financial and strategic decisions that drive balanced business growth. You’ll get senior leadership exposure, focusing real-time on the highest priority business issues, and being plugged into every facet of our business.

Responsibilities

Sales Finance

  • Drive financial planning, forecasting, and reporting activities for the International Sales org, set financial goals, and provide regular executive-level reporting to track progress against pivotal initiatives
  • Engage with sales teams and deal desk on deal structuring and approvals
  • Drive ARR Planning, including sales capacity planning, driver-based ARR modelling, and short-range and long range plans
  • Develop monthly spend forecast and drive budget planning process
  • Drive standardised Reporting, Forecasting, Budgeting, and Budget vs Actual (BvA) processes and narratives
  • Develop deep understanding of Oracle spend forecasting and reporting systems to establish efficiencies and operational improvements
  • Partner with IT, Business Strategy & Operations, Finance, and other key partners to drive improvements and automation of ARR reporting

Business Intelligence & Analytics

  • Conduct sophisticated analytics, delivering impactful and significant insights that drive decision-making
  • Collaborate with business partners in Sales, Sales Strategy, Business Strategy, and Finance on ad-hoc projects and financial modelling
  • Work with technical partners in Data Engineering and BI teams to support data consumption needs and reporting requirements
  • Develop new processes and tools to drive scalable analysis and insights
  • Identify, propose, and lead automation initiatives to streamline FP&A reporting capabilities

Requirements

  • Experience financial modelling and analytics skills
  • Ability to manipulate data and gain insights from large datasets; comfortable with data ambiguity and passionate about data integrity
  • Proactive and able to independently contextualise problems, seek information, and deliver solutions
  • Ability to distil sophisticated, technical ideas into simple, meaningful recommendations
  • Skilled in building unquestioning relationships with business partners
  • Experience working on a global FP&A team across multiple time zones
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Oracle systems strongly preferred
  • Business Analytics skills and experiences with SQL and Tableau preferred
  • Knowledge of Software or SaaS industry preferred
  • FP&A experience in a fast-growing tech environment preferred
  • Knowledge of GAAP and understanding of financial documents required
