DomainTools, a fast-growing SaaS company is seeking a number loving, detail oriented and driven Junior Accountant who will serve as a key contributor to the small but high performing Accounting and Finance team. Depending on the candidate, we are looking at 10-20 hours of work per week between standard operating hours of 9AM-5PM Monday-Friday. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for recording accounting transactions, reporting from our general ledger and supporting the business. The Junior Accountant will work cross functionally to ensure accounts receivable and accounts payable are recorded and reported appropriately along with assisting in the monthly close process and ad hoc tasks.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic and analytical self-starter, who loves problem solving and working in a dynamic environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an eagerness to learn are critical to the success of this role. We anticipate that this role would transition to a full time position upon graduation of the individual along with a transition to salary with full benefits.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Assist in the accounts payable function

· Collect and route invoice for approvals

· Accurately input invoices into the financial system

· Set up Vendors in the accounting system

· Collect 1099’s

· Organize and manage the accounts payable inbox

· Assist in the Accounts Receivable Function

· Communicate with customers on collections and chase down past due invoices

· Review customer contracts and purchase orders for billing accuracy

· Review and run preliminary revenue recognition schedules

· Work with several customer portals and online invoicing requirements

· Complete customer on boarding questionnaires

· Assist in accounting processes and schedules for fixed assets, including additions, disposals, and related depreciation.

· Assist in preparing schedules for prepaid expenses and ensuring amortization is accurate in the general ledger.

· Reconcile monthly credit card statements.

· Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis as well as various other accounting and finance projects and initiatives as needed.

· Interact effectively with teams across the organization including Revenue Operations, Account Management, Sales, and Legal.

· Ad-Hoc Tasks as assigned

Requirements:

· GAAP knowledge – passionate about numbers and can contribute to an efficient close process.

· Strong organizational skills - prioritizes multiple business-critical projects and initiatives to ensure no deliverables slip through the cracks.

· Meticulous - pays keen attention to detail and has a high level of integrity.

· Innovative Self Starter - ability to time manage and work independently when required.

· Driven - excels in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

· Collaborative – enthusiastic to work cross-functionally across the organization.

Experience/Qualifications:

· Strong knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting and GAAP concepts

· Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (anticipated Graduation Summer of 2020 or close to)

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with advanced Excel skills
