In order to advance our mission to – “Enable Personalized Care for Every Cancer Patient,” we are seeking candidates for the following role:

Job Summary:  Payroll Specialist/Staff Accountant that would like to expand skill set beyond payroll to include accounts payable processing, cash receipts posting, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and other accounting duties as needed.

Payroll

  • Using ADP Workforce Now, process and audit/verify multi-state bi-weekly hourly and salary payrolls so that all employees are paid accurately and timely
  • Process GL interface files and month end reports
  • Ensure governmental reporting requirements for payroll taxes, withholdings and employee/employer contributions are met

Receivables

  • Record customer payments and bank deposits
  • Assist in research of customer account discrepancies and make collection requests on delinquent accounts

Expenses and Payables

  • Accurately record accounts payable invoices, credit cards and other payables
  • Ensure timely payment of AP invoices
  • 1099 reporting and compliance
  • Review and process employee expense reports

Other Accounting Functions

  • Account reconciliations including bank accounts
  • Maximize efficiencies and organize work processes and procedures using automation to reduce manual work
  • Assist with annual audit and income tax preparation with outside accounting firm
  • Assist in monthly closing
  • Complete ad-hoc analysis and projects as required

Qualifications:

  • Excellent ADP Workforce Now skills with minimum of 2 years’ experience
  • Accounting degree or qualifying work experience 
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent project and time management, problem-solving, interpersonal and analytical skills and ability to work in a small team environment

This position is full time 100% remote with the option to come into the Seattle corporate office on a voluntary basis.
