We are looking for a Revenue Accountant to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will be a key member of our Finance team, reporting directly to the VP of Finance. This position will be a fit for you if you have prior accounts payable and accounts receivable experience. You have excellent attention to detail; ability to follow through; you’re equally comfortable working alone or collaborating with other members of the team; and can present information and respond to questions from managers easily.

As a Revenue Accountant, you’ll:

  • Possess a comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of revenue recognition, financial accounting principles and practices in accordance with ASC 606.
  • Process and review of sales contracts for proper revenue recognition as well as revenue reporting
  • Prepare monthly revenue recognition analysis and reconcile revenue and deferred revenue
  • Execute monthly close accounting for several general ledger functions, including recording closing entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Work with internal revenue stream owners to enter and send out invoices for customers and monitor AR aging
  • Follow up with customers, manage collections and resolve discrepancies
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements
  • Contribute to audit preparation by providing requested documentation and analysis
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and other duties, as assigned

We expect you to have these qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel (must be able to prepare intermediate to advanced formulas such VLOOKUP, IF, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills that enable you to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly and with accuracy
  • Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the business and is self-motivated to learn
  • Desire to improve and promote quality and scalability from a growing company
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fields

You don’t have to check all of the boxes, but we think these are important requirements for this role:

  • Previous experience with NetSuite
  • SaaS company background a plus
  • CPA license or CPA candidate
  • Big Four experience
