About the Role:

If you are an experienced Senior Accountant looking to embrace ambiguity and change in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, this fully remote role may be a great fit.

The Senior Accountant will report to the Sr. Accounting Manager, performing various accounting, payroll, and finance functions. As part of a small team, the Senior Accountant will take on challenges in nearly all aspects of accounting and finance, providing an opportunity to see how the whole financial picture comes together.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technical accounting and tax projects, including internal-use software, commissions capitalization, R&D tax credit, and equity accounting.
  • Coordinate annual audit process, including preparing audit schedules and working across departments to aggregate necessary audit support
  • Process payroll, including review of employee setup and ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Prepare journal entries and complete account reconciliations for payroll-related accounts.
  • Manage accounts payable, including vendor set-up, review, and monthly reconciliation
  • Manage fixed assets, including the creation of assets, disposals, and reconciliation
  • Assist in preparation of management financial reporting and budget/forecast
  • Support international expansion efforts and consolidation activities
  • Assist with development, documentation, and implementation of new accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures.
  • Assist in improving financial and reporting processes and systems to support evolving business needs.
  • Various ad hoc projects as requested

About You:

This role requires someone detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment as our company continues to grow and expand. We are looking for someone who can work independently and has strong analytical skills. 

You may be the right fit if you have:

  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience, 4-5 preferred
  • Familiarity with payroll accounts and related tax and deduction compliance
  • Understanding of GAAP
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills (Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets)
  • Experience with NetSuite desired (not required)

 

Travel: No travel is anticipated at this time for this role
