You:
As a Senior Accountant, you will work under the direction of the Director of Financial Reporting and perform accounting staff functions. This is position will exercise a high level of independence, accountability, teamwork, good judgement and attention to detail. You are a strong communicator with exceptional technical strength that can provide proactive guidance. You have a strong background in generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls. What we want you to do:
- Support month-end close processes for leases, debt, and incentive compensation, including preparing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations accurately and in compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Create and maintain documentation on processes and procedures related to assigned areas.
- Assist the Director of Accounting on technical accounting matters for significant transactions and compliance with new accounting standards, including summarizing and recommending appropriate accounting approach to management and preparing accounting memos.
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external reporting.
- Manage compliance with our internal control process for related to assigned area, including identifying areas for improvement and assisting in the design and documentation of new controls or modification of existing controls.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience of technical GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Minimum 3+ years’ work experience, preferably in the technology sector.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Public accounting firm experience with a Big 4 accounting firm working with a mix of private and public company clients.
- CPA designation, or CPA eligible candidate
- A solid understanding of the concepts of internal control design and operational effectiveness.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- Superior organizational, process management and communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Advanced time-management skills to handle multiple deliverables simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth and rapidly changing environment. We’re looking for an individual who can learn complex processes quickly and take on new tasks including leading projects, while also managing recurring functions.
- Great problem solving and analytical skill to analyze information, draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations.
- Must demonstrate excellent leadership skills and maintain the highest level of ethical standards.
