About the Role:
Dreambox Learning is adding a Senior FP&A Analyst to our Finance team. The Senior FP&A Analyst works in a fast-paced environment, leading and managing various financial processes. The Senior FP&A Analyst is responsible for partnering with business units to accurately plan and forecast future revenues and expenditures to establish cost structures; determine financial health based on metrics and analysis, and serve as a trusted advisor to the business when trying to identify the meaning behind the numbers. The Senior FP&A Analyst leverages strong finance, accounting, and compliance background to explore historical financial data, predict future results and drive process and improvements. The ideal candidate will work effectively with internal and external partners, possess great communication skills, has the ability to shift gears and be adaptive, and enjoy the challenges of helping to build a great organization that strives to impact children and education.
What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Help structure and drive monthly, quarterly, and annual budget planning, forecasting, close, and reporting processes
  • Partner with the business to makes updates to financial plans; maintain income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and other models to accurately forecast financial outcomes; analyze current and past financial data and performance; prepare reports and projections based on this analysis, highlighting trends and concerns
  • Manage and prepare the monthly investor package which includes full financial statements, analysis of key business trends, budget variances and comprehensive executive level explanations of differences to identify gaps and opportunities; partner with accounting team to identify and understand monthly variances; provide monthly close analysis with insights into financial performance including run-rates and trends
  • Automate financial reporting, where applicable, to enhance overall efficiency and productivity
  • Preparation of Board of Directors materials and Executive team reporting, dashboards and other ad-hoc analysis and reporting gathering data from complex sources, reconcile data variances and use data to support analysis for decision making
  • Partner with Business Intelligence to analyze Key Performance Indicators and operational dashboards; partner closely with business leads, business operations, and accounting

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field; MBA preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in the financial analysis field, having developed self-sufficiency and a strong degree of independence
  • Advanced level analytical and financial modeling skills; advanced understanding of finance and business concepts; solid financial and business acumen mindset
  • Knowledge of ERP and CRM systems and related technologies, demonstrated knowledge of MS Office Suite and financial metrics reporting
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Natural curiosity, ability to ask questions of data and dig deeper to gain understanding, analyzing data to find the meaning behind the numbers
  • A self-starter, highly responsive and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and collaborative environment, flexible in adapting and responding to changing situations; sense of urgency
