As the Senior Manager of Commercial Finance & Revenue Reporting, you will play a critical role in setting policy and implementing systems, processes and controls that support the revenue accounting and the order-to-cash process. This work will need to support our rapidly growing and scaling business and will be critical path requirement on our way to being a public company in the future.

 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track-record of working collaboratively with sales, revenue operations, FP&A and accounting. They will have a strong working knowledge of ASC 606, internal controls and business process and direct experience implementing and managing a revenue accounting cycle. They will have strong analytical skills, be tool-savvy and be an excellent communicator.

As the Senior Manager of Commercial Finance & Revenue Reporting, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s external financial reporting.

 

What you will do:

  • Responsible for the ongoing application of ASC 606 including all related accounting documentation.
  • Ensure that complex sales transactions are properly structured. This work will include working closely with the Sales, Post-sales customer advocacy, Professional Services and Revenue Operations teams.
  • Work closely with international accounting teams to ensure that US-GAAP and US SOX standards are effectively implemented and being followed.
  • Work with Accounting team on the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Own the end-end to process for revenue accounting and bookings policy compliance from pre-close to Cash
  • Own the revenue and forecast reporting
  • Work closely with FP&A and Revenue Operations teams to “operationalize” revenue accounting controls including documenting controls required for SOX to ensure that the company is “IPO ready”
  • Play a critical role in the systems implementation of system to support automation of ASC 606 accounting.
  • Lead coordination with external audit firm, including coordinating with international teams.
  • Drive continuous process improvements
  • Manage special projects and perform duties as required
  • Manage revenue staff accountants as company grows

What you will bring:

  • 7-9+ years of accounting and reporting experience; proficient in US-GAAP/SEC reporting and revenue recognition experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA / CA and public accounting/public company experience required
  • Experience working with and supporting Sales teams critical
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, projects or functions with emphasis leading through influence and driving challenging projects to completion
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of functions across the organization
  • Advanced MS Office experience with emphasis on Excel reporting and analysis skills
  • Experience with NetSuite (or similar ERP system) and Salesforce (or similar CRM system)
  • Experience working in technology industry (SaaS company a plus)
  • Ability to remain flexible in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
