The Job

We’re looking for a Sr Financial Analyst who will bring experiences to date, learn from us, and help develop a truly world-class, values-centered, metrics-based finance organization to help Tango Card achieve our long-term goals.

You will become an immediate value to the organization with high visibility within a finance organization of experienced finance professionals. Ideally, we would like someone in close proximity to our Seattle location, however, we offer a choice-first work environment where you can determine what works best for you and our team regarding your working location.

You will be successful at Tango Card if you are:

  • An experienced Financial Analyst who brings the experience, mindset, motivation, and curiosity to help us drive results and establish a world-class finance organization
  • Your expertise is in forecasting revenues and expenditures, 
  • You seek opportunities to partner with business leads, and have a deep willingness to dive into details to drive decision-making analysis
  • You are passionate about ensuring our financial planning is healthy and profitable plus aligns with business objectives

  • Seeking a role where you “just keep the ball rolling” or the “engine running” - we are seeking someone who wants to contribute, grow and evolve processes and the function
  • Prefer to work only solo or independently - we are a cross-functional, collaborative organization who thrives when working with others 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Senior Executives to drive sound financial decisions
  • Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis
  • Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual business results
  • Prepare analysis to drive sound investments in People, Marketing, Technology, etc.
  • Analyze and report on current financial results
  • Explore investment options and present risk and opportunities
  • Coordinate the senior executive team on long-term financial planning
  • Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement
  • Partner with accounting to ensure data accuracy

To be effective as a Senior Financial Analyst at Tango Card, you must have the following education and experience:

  • Comfortable in collaborating in a high-growth environment with Sr Executives
  • Proactive growth mindset with a can-do spirit and willingness to dive into details
  • Hands-on experience with financial and statistical software
  • Expertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas)
  • Excellent analytical skills looking beyond the numbers
  • Proven work experience as a Senior Financial Analyst or similar role
  • Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking skills

Our ideal Senior Financial Analyst at Tango Card will have most of the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred
  • Understanding of the financial statements and curiosity to learn the drivers
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, and/or Budgeting Software is a strong plus
  • Ability to work from our Seattle HQ at minimum one day per week post-pandemic
