Role Description

The Finance team is responsible for developing and executing on Dropbox’s financial strategy and is hiring world-class employees to tackle the challenges ahead of us. As part of the Finance team you’ll have broad exposure to various teams within Dropbox, building strong internal business partnerships and you’ll also interact with a number of external business partners.

 

As a valued member of the Finance team, we’re looking for someone to take ownership of the financial reporting process and work to build a stellar reporting system from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Own end to end planning and preparation of financial filings such as 10-Q and 10-K, including new disclosures for accounting standards and other GAAP required disclosures. 
  • Contribute to key external filings such as earnings release and external investor materials
  • Prepare financial statement disclosures, including all equity the statement of stockholders equity, statement of other comprehensive income, and familiarity with statement of cash flows.
  • Prepare equity and stock based compensation related accounting, including evaluation of technical accounting aspects of any equity grants and modifications
  • Assist with implementation of policies and procedures to the accounting organization
  • Work cross-functionally with other groups to ensure compliance with SEC reporting requirements and to support the business needs. Partner with investor relations, legal, finance, and others on deliverables and projects.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects, technical accounting, and process improvements as needed.

Requirements

  • CPA with 4+ years experience in accounting with a Big 4 accounting firm preferred 
  • 1-2 years top tier tech company experience preferred 
  • Top performer that is willing to dive into the details, and looking to gain experience and grow with Dropbox 
  • Detail-oriented with great project management skills, but comfortable with ambiguity 
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP with strong problem solving skills to deal with complex transactions
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Execution focused with the ability to take individual responsibility for delivering quality work in a timely manner
  • Strategic thinker that demonstrates active enthusiasm for solving problems and making valuable contributions to the company, including experience in leading complex operations
