Senior Manager of Global Payment Operations

 

We are seeking a candidate that is passionate about the opportunity to drive platform opportunities and payment partnerships in the Expedia Global Payments (EGP) organization! Could this be you?

 

EGP is responsible for enabling customer and supplier payments for a large portfolio of global online travel brands under Expedia Group. As a critical member of the team in EGP, this position reports to the Senior Director of Strategic Payment Partnerships and will work closely with our internal and external partners.

 

What you'll do:

  • You will lead payment partner’s performance against Service Level Agreements improving partner performance while maximizing financial benefits for Expedia Group!

  • Understand the global payments landscape and payments impact on customer experience

  • Establish, execute, communicate and detail payment standards, processes, and metrics

  • Prioritize, investigate and resolve payments issues and customer concerns in concert with cross-functional partners and payment providers, as well as communicate impact and end results to management

  • Communicate, coordinate and influence a range of partners, including senior management, product development, information technology, and finance teams

  • Tenaciously work to meet or exceed meaningful goals; derive happiness from goal achievement and continuous improvement

  • Communicate clearly and succinctly convey information and ideas to individuals and groups; communicate in a focused and compelling way that gathers and holds others’ attention

  • Demonstrate a keen understanding of business operations, partner management, and the organizational levers (systems, processes, departments, functions) that drive profitable growth

  • Use a factual approach to decision-making by systematically collecting valid and reliable data. Rely on the data rather than on emotions. Have the backbone to disagree and commit to the decisions towards better business outcomes

 

Who you are:

  • Demonstrated experience in e-commerce with a focus on global credit card, consumer financial services, or other transaction-intensive consumer applications, with proven online experience

  • Have 3+ years’ experience in working with external partners, with a history of turning around partner relationships to drive improvement

  • Can draw from experience to evaluate data or recommendations that need further investigation

  • Familiar with payment contracts and contract negotiations

  • Expertise in one of the following industries would be a plus: Travel, Airlines, Hotels, or Payments

  • Bachelor’s degree required
