The Senior Manager / Manager, BU FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) plays a crucial role in supporting intelligent, financially-sound decision making across the organization. The right person for this role is passionate about building trust and credibility with business partners and wants to collaborate with operational leaders to create value for the organization. The appropriate candidate is comfortable interfacing with operating leaders, curious, proactive and is never satisfied with the status quo. A key component of this position will be building new analysis, models, tools, and processes. This highly visible role offers career opportunities and progression in a high-growth environment, as well as exposure to key leaders in the organization.
This position is suitable for a finance professional who has experience with business unit collaboration and/or operations finance and has led a team over one or more planning cycles.

Primary Responsibilities: 

Business partnership

  • Works closely with BU leadership and is the go-to person within the finance team for BU partnership 
  • Supports BU leaders with the development and implementation of strategic objectives and business cases
  • Helps influence and drive value through BU interaction and collaboration

People leadership

  • Builds a high-performance BU FP&A team and holds team accountable for performance standards and expectations
  • Coaches and develops team members based on individual skillsets and aspirations
  • Process, tools, and infrastructure development
  • Designs and executes a plan to build a best-in-class BU FP&A function, with a sustainable infrastructure, actionable and timely reporting, and accurate forecasting

Financial forecasting

  • Leads and owns the financial forecasting process for the BU, including timeliness, effectiveness, and accuracy
  • Builds, maintains, and improves financial forecasting models
  • Collaborates with the Corporate FP&A team to integrate forecasts 

Problem solving and ad-hoc analysis

  • Dives deep into complex business problems and identifies, builds, and communicates solutions in an effective manner
  • Takes the time to understand underlying business drivers and proactively builds ad-hoc analysis to help the BU make decisions and drive business value

Management reporting

  • Identifies, prioritizes, and owns the delivery of BU reporting needs
  • Supports the Corporate FP&A team with the preparation of management reporting for the Board of Directors, the Executive Leadership Team, and others as needed

 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or related field
  • At least 5+ years of progressively senior finance experience
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with or knowledge of relational database and/or data warehouse technologies
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning or similar EPM tools
