Who we're looking for:

Rover has seen tremendous growth and success over our 7-year history. As our company prepares for the next phase of growth, we're looking for a dynamic Senior Tax Analyst to join our team. You'll be responsible for partnering with the Senior Tax Manager to assist with the management of Rover’s federal, state and international taxes.

Your Qualifications:

  • BA/BS and / or Master’s degree in Accounting
  • At least 3+ years of experience in public accounting and / or a corporate tax department
  • Strong technical knowledge of corporate federal and state income tax and tax accounting principles
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong organization, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with senior management and all functional and operational teams
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a proven ability to set priorities and work independently on multiple projects

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist with computing and maintaining worldwide provision for year-end global tax
  • Support year-end financial reporting process including preparation of financial statement tax note disclosures
  • Facilitate and manage the preparation and review of Rover’s federal, state, and international income tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms
  • Maintain schedules related to US international income tax reporting and compliance including E&P, Subpart F, and GILTI calculations
  • Drive indirect tax compliance including preparing filings, implementation in new jurisdictions, and analysis of tax law changes
  • Manage tax information reporting compliance in Rover’s federal, state, and international jurisdictions
  • Assist in managing tax audits and controversy
  • Support transfer pricing implementation and documentation
  • Be a strategic business partner by assisting with implementation of tax planning opportunities, quality improvements and risk minimization processes and driving process efficiencies
  • Maintain SOX control procedures over all aspects of the tax process
  • Monitor current and proposed US and foreign tax law changes to identify and assess impact on the organization
  • Research and draft tax policy memos documenting tax issues and positions
  • Other tax projects, as needed

Your Bonus Skills:

  • Experience managing international tax compliance
