Sr. Accountant I

The Sr. Accountant I, PeopleCost Accounting will be an integral part of the team that is responsible for PeopleCost related expenses and programs in the APAC region.
Core responsibilities include:
- Responsible for month-end close including prepare and process recurring journals, identify and process non-recurring journals
- Manage Balance Sheet account reconciliations, independently research exceptions, identify reconciling items and resolve issues in accordance with company policy
- Provide fluctuation analysis for assigned expense and balance sheet accounts for various comparative time periods
- Prepare reports and schedules as required for audits as requested by the statutory team
- Produce schedules and summary presentations for business decisions and ad-hoc requests
- Provide support for SOX compliance and company policies
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and priorities for the accounting function
- Participate in non-routine projects such process re-engineering, cross functional projects, reconciliation issues, system implementations, etc.
Additionally, as the Accountant within the Peoplecost Accounting team, you will:
- Take ownership of process improvements. Document business processes and assess current processes for efficiency
- Provide support to business partners across the worldwide organization
- Identify opportunities and make recommendations to streamline and gain efficiencies
- Support Peoplecost policies or processes across the organization

Requirements:
- Educated to graduate or post graduate level in related field
- 3+ years corporate accounting experience
- Language: English
- Effective oral and written communications
- Oracle financial systems preferred
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). Proficiency with pivot tables and formulas in Excel required
- Experience with foreign currency entries a plus
