Our company is currently experiencing rapid growth and we are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. The Senior Accountant, reporting to the Controller, will share responsibility for all aspects of the day to day accounting for five legal entities from AP through month end close. The successful candidate will also collect pertinent information for third party audits, assist with financial reporting and will be a key point of contact for accounting issues.

Period Close & General Ledger:

  • Generate and record monthly journal entries including PTO accruals, payroll, prepaids, commission and expense accruals, and other entries as needed.
  • Prepare monthly detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with the generation and analysis of monthly financial statements and other reports.
  • Follow our company’s established accounting processes in alignment with GAAP.
  • Use online banking for payments and bank reconciliations.
  • Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions.

  International Accounting:

  • Manage accounts payable, general ledger, inter-company accounting, payments, and journal entries for four international entities.
  • Supervise, submit and review all international payroll
  • Oversee all related tax reporting and maintain effective relationships with international accounting firms.

 Accounts Payable and Purchasing:

  • Prepare purchase orders, validate invoices, acquire approvals, scrutinize, research and inform management of discrepancies, process timely payments
  • Review, validate and apply company policy to all expense reports.
  • Work with managers and their employees to ensure timely submittal and policy compliance.
  • Assist with the administration of Concur expense management.

 Taxes:

  • Prepare state sales, use tax, franchise returns and property tax returns in multiple states.

Audit:

  • Prepare documentation for external audits.

 Payroll - cross train and support:

  • On-board new employees
  • Process bimonthly payroll using ADP
  • Maintain employee portal with ADP leveraging an opportunity for positive and informative employee communication
  • Administer all benefits including medical, 401k, COBRA, dental, vision and life
  • Maintain all compliance for tax, HIPPA and related requirements

 Additional:

  1. Fixed assets tracking and depreciation.
  2.  Support accounts receivable collections.
  3.  Assist with the implementation of new Net Suite ERP.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 8+ years’ experience in accounting or related field; CPA ideal
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Net Suite preferred
  • Experience in the software industry preferred
  • Can do attitude and ability to respond to changing priorities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical forms and financial reports
  • Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships both within the company and externally
