Expedia’s Global Financial Reporting team is seeking a Sr. Finance Systems Analyst. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the Chart of Accounts for a large, complex, multi-national company. As a key member of the Corporate Accounting Team, the Sr. Finance Systems Analyst will partner closely with key stakeholders including Accounting, External Reporting, Tax, FP&A, Legal, Treasury and Technology teams to ensure that requests are managed and delivered in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Chart of Accounts (COA) in Oracle Financials R12.1.5
  • Manage COA request process by providing requestors with appropriate forms, instructing on correct process, facilitating approval process, and creating and validating values
  • Support technology enhancements and projects
  • Support acquisitions, expansion and other accounting integration projects
  • Support month-end close process

Qualifications:

  • Able to manage high-volume (300+ per month) of requests within system constraints and deadlines
  • Experience with Tier 1 ERP (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, etc.) preferred. Prior working knowledge of Oracle enterprise financial systems a plus
  • Moderate Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookup formulas)
  • Flexible and willing to work in a global, high-growth, fast paced environment where priorities change to meet changing business conditions
  • Able to prioritize and solve problems with little direct supervision
  • Have strong work ethic (there will be occasional over-time during Month/Quarter/Year End)
  • Excellent verbal, written and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated, and take ownership and responsibility for work product
  • Organized and able to adapt to changing and/or pressured circumstances with grace and agility
  • Able to drive issues to successful, timely conclusion through effective organization, collaboration, communication and troubleshooting
  • Able to build strong working relationships with a diverse range of co-workers and other individuals
  • Able to delegate effectively both up, down and across the chain of command, and mentor others to help bring out their best

Education, Experience & Training:

  • 5+ years progressive experience in accounting or finance
  • Bachelors degree in a business, financial, or accounting discipline
