The Staff Accountant, in the Customer Transaction Accounting Program (CTAP), is an individual contributor who is responsible for the preparation, processing, and maintenance of month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for Revenue, Cost of Sales, Losses, and Customer funds cash. The Staff Accountant performs their tasks with a high level of accuracy and timeliness, as well as transparently communicates with business partners impacted by these processes. The Staff Accountant will frequently work with other Accounting teams, the Treasury team, and Product teams. The Staff Accountant reports directly to the CTAP Accounting Manager.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of business processes, apply that understanding to accounting processes and policies
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and to the extent necessary, in depth analyses for revenue, cost of sales accruals, losses, and cash movement
- Utilize high level of proficiency in Excel (vlookup, index/match, sumifs) to transform raw data from various files into journal entries and reports for month end close; uploading those entries into financial systems and reviewing results for completeness and correctness.
- Identify and propose potential solutions to optimize data management and improve business processes around revenue entries, foreign exchange trade uploads, daily cash movement journals, and new bank partner onboarding.
- Assist in the preparation of audit support for Financial Statement audits.
- Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field of study is strongly preferred
- 2+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance
- Experience working in NetSuite preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
- Strong analytical, research, and problem solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Intermediate Excel skills, able to pass an Excel skills test
