Unity Technologies is looking for a Staff Accountant to expand our accounting team. You have a true passion for providing A+ quality products, a highly enthusiastic self-starter, excellent decision making skills, and the willingness to work hard in a rapidly growing fun environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules as per US GAAP
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes to increase timeliness, efficiency, and improve the accuracy
- Work with external auditors on annual audits
- Manage the expenditure cycle
- Create management ad hoc reports
Requirements
- Must have general accounting experience in a medium-sized company
- BS Degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience with account reconciliations and closing procedures
- Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities effectively in order to meet deadlines
- Must be able to work independently and multitask to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookups)
- Experience with ERP systems
Bonus points
- Strong proficiency in Workday Financials and/or Blackline
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Good interpersonal skills to work effectively as a team player
- Work with minimal supervision on complex projects, in a fast pace environment
- Ability to identify process problems and, through personal initiative, create improvements
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable
