This strategic role is responsible for designing and leading the entire pricing transformation to an ARR-based subscription model.
Key Responsibilities
- Pricing Strategy & Governance: Define, implement, and govern the new ARR-based pricing and packaging strategy for all grid software solutions, including SaaS, and perpetual-to-subscription migration paths (i.e., "True-up" or "Trade-in" models).
- Value and Metric Alignment: Identify and analyze the most appropriate value metrics for subscription pricing (e.g., per asset, size of network model, number of flows, etc.) that align with customer value realization in the utility and energy sector.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with SLT, Product, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Services and Marketing to ensure alignment and operationalization of the new pricing model.
- Financial Modeling: Work with RevOps to develop financial models to forecast ARR, churn, Net Revenue Retention (NRR), and Gross Margin targets under the new subscription structure, including analysis of the short-term impact on revenue recognition during the transition.
- Competitive Intelligence: Conduct competitive analysis on other grid software/SaaS providers to benchmark pricing, terms, and packaging to maintain a competitive edge.
- Executive Presentation: Serve as the internal pricing authority, presenting and gaining buy-in for all major pricing decisions from the CEO and Board.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in pricing strategy, with at least 3 years directly focused on leading a successful pricing transition from a perpetual to a subscription (SaaS/ARR) model in a B2B software or technology environment.
Desired Characteristics
- Skills: Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and strategic thinking skills. Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Domain: Experience with utility, energy, or complex industrial software (grid management, DERMS, SCADA, etc.) is highly desirable.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $176,000.00 and $264,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
