The HR Assistant will work autonomously to solve complex problems focused on improving Ekata employee experiences. Our HR Assistant position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. Ultimately, you will work in close partnership with HR Business Partners and Recruiting teams to gain HR experience in a fast-paced work environment by supporting and improving all HR functions. This role will also identify opportunities for standard work and innovation by owning HR administration project and programs from start to finish. This role will require you to establish foundational knowledge of operational processes and employee experiences within our offices. You will work collaboratively cross-teams to ensure barriers are removed and provide critical support to all teams.

In the HR Assistant role you will:

  • Maintain employee records (soft and hard copies)
  • Update HR databases and benefit portals (e.g. new hires, separations, vacation and sick leaves)
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data, like absences, bonus and leaves
  • Prepare paperwork for HR policies and procedures
  • Process employees’ requests and provide relevant information
  • Coordinate HR projects, meetings and training seminars
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal communications
  • Provide orientations for new employees by sharing onboarding packages and explaining company policies
  • Provide analytic-driven recommendations to streamline HR admin process
  • Create internal communications (e.g. newsletters, slides)
  • Engage directly with HR and Operations leaders to understand business needs for supporting a flexible workforce 

Our Ideal HR Assistant will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or relevant work experience
  • 1+ years experience HR Information systems or Payroll systems such as ADP
  • Baseline understanding of Employment Law
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with analyzing data
  • Experience supporting a team in an administrative capacity
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
  • Human Resources experience, specifically supporting a Technology organization
  • Experience in a fast-paced ever-changing innovative work environment
