If you’re an intellectually curious HR professional, enjoy the variation of generalist duties, and are versed in employment law, performance management and employee relations – we want to talk to you. You’ll oversee the day to day activities surrounding overall HRIS data management, compensation, benefits, and employee relations. You’ll partner with executive leadership to lead initiatives to elevate productivity, employee retention and overall organizational success.

As a people and culture partner at Ekata, you will own the North America region, working alongside the HR team. ​You establish yourself as a trusted advisor by building rapport, providing expert guidance, and having an understanding of team and business challenges in the technology sector.

In the HR Business Partner role you will:

  • Work directly with the executive leadership to execute against HR initiatives, including but not limited to performance management, building and maintaining a highly collaborative and high-performing culture
  • Administer compensation program; annual compensation review process, monitors performance evaluation program and makes recommendations as necessary
  • Own, develop, and execute the employee onboarding and offboarding programs
  • Partner with leadership to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations
  • Manage employee relations issues and conduct investigations around relations issues to make recommendations accordingly
  • Successfully coach and counsel managers on maintaining positive employee relations and serve as primary point of contact for managers on determining resolutions for a wide range of people-related issues, including workforce planning.
  • General knowledge of HR systems to support implementation of various system implementations
  • In conjunctions with outside legal immigration counsel, manages immigration matters for company
  • Participate in company wide initiatives and programs (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Performance Management, Organizational Change, etc)
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
  • Responsible for ensuring legal compliance for all HR related activities by partnering with internal and external counsel
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Our ideal HR Business Partner will have:

  • Bachelor's degree Human Resources Management, or a related field or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years experience in Human Resources

  • Diverse background in Human Resources across employment law benefits, compensation, performance management and employee relations

  • Strong Project Management skills and ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast paced environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and prior success working cross functionally with stakeholders

  • Solid Microsoft Office skills including advanced excel functions

  • International experience in APAC and LATAM is a plus.

  • Previous experience administering global benefits across North America, EMEA, and APAC
