Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day efficient operations of the HR team
• Maintain employee files and other employment related items 
• Assist with periodic audits of HR systems, benefits, and payroll as needed 
• Execute all aspects of OfferUp’s new hire onboarding process end-to-end, including reviewing, processing, and filing new hire paperwork 
• Own benefits administration including scaling existing systems to ensure compliance and consistency
• Manage and track employee leaves, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements 
• Partner with outside counsel to support employee visa sponsorship requests 
• Respond to employee inquiries and escalate issues using sound judgement
• Help cultivate a positive work environment through programs, activities and events that reinforce our values and operating principles 

Skills & Requirements:

• 1 year of HR/Recruiting experience in the tech industry 
• Desire and ability to learn quickly in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
• Thrive in the face of ambiguity
• Ability to work independently and use sound judgement in decision making 
• Positive attitude and desire to contribute in a team setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Degree preferred
