About The Team

The People Operations team at Subsplash is all about attracting, growing, and retaining top talent. We are responsible for the entire employee experience including recruiting, HR, leadership development, office management, company culture, and corporate events. About the Role

The HR Generalist at Subsplash reports to the HR Manager and is focused on ensuring that HR operations run smoothly and effectively. You will look for opportunities to deliver delight across the entire organization and drive for our core values of humility, innovation, and excellence. As a HR generalist, you use your detailed understanding of employment laws and regulations to ensure the company is well protected in the ever changing workplace landscape. This a full-time/temporary role and employment period of 60 days, with the possibility of moving to permanent, full-time.

Responsibilities

  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities including I-9, e-verify, background checks, and termination paperwork and procedures
  • Ensure HR Personnel files are maintained and payroll database is updated accordingly, including setup of new employees and changes in payroll terms
  • Maintain HRIS by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications, merit increases; tracking vacation, sick, and personal time
  • Manage employee documents and keep templates up to date in accordance with company policy and legal obligations
  • Answer all unemployment claims and verifications of employment
  • Work with HR Manager when employee relations issues arise
  • Respond timely to routine HR questions and/or redirect employees to appropriate contacts as needed
  • Participate in and support key HR initiatives, including performance management, compensation planning, mergers and acquisitions, etc.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Provide assistance to the People Operations team with miscellaneous support and office tasks

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of human resource experience 
  • Experience managing an HRIS
  • Certified HR professional preferred (i.e. SPHR, PHR, HRCI, SHRM.)
