HR Generalist Overview:

Snap! Raise is seeking a customer-obsessed HR Generalist to join us to perform tasks that will assist in the employee experience. In this role, you will provide everyday assistance to employees and administrative support to the human resource team as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry.

 

HR Generalist Responsibilities:

  • Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory personnel training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications 

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring for headquarters positions while collaborating with departmental managers 

  • Processes background checks and employment eligibility verifications 

  • Oversees new hire onboarding and orientation 

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development

  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Human Resources Manager 

  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations 

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local employment laws/regulations, and recommended best practices; while reviewing policies and practices to stay within guidelines 

  • Keeps up with knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law 

 

HR Generalist Preferred Qualifications:

  • Superb verbal and written communication skills 

  • Skillful interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution

  • Excellent in time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality 

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations 

  • Experienced with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems 

  • Professional Certification a plus 

 

HR Generalist Basic Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience 

  • Minimum 3 years human resource experience required 

  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
