About the Role:

We're searching for a senior level Human Resources Total Rewards expert to join Remitly's People team, reporting to our EVP, People. This new role will iterate and scale our global rewards programs, spanning across cash compensation, equity, and benefits. You'll take a fresh look at our rewards philosophy, challenge the status quo, and guide our rewards programs in a way that helps to attract and retain world-class team members. You'll build infrastructure, use market best practices and creativity to develop an understanding of our workforce so we can achieve an outstanding employee experience and competitively position Remitly globally.

You'll accomplish this by partnering closely with the People team, senior leaders, and business stakeholders. You will be Remitly's Total Rewards thought leader and manage a team of compensation, equity, and benefits experts.

You Will:

  • Be an essential member of the leadership team within the People function and partner closely with senior business leaders, HR and Talent Acquisition.
  • Oversee the delivery, measurement, and continuous improvement of Remitly's rewards programs, including cash compensation, equity, and a full suite of benefits offerings.
  • You will lead the regular review of our rewards programs and implement adjustments to base salary and equity ranges, taking into consideration job family, level, location, and the cost of labor.
  • You will oversee our annual open enrollment process and make changes to benefits offerings based on the needs and desires of employees, while considering cost and the impact on the Company's bottom line.
  • You will promote employee communication and education efforts to make the understanding of our total rewards model frustration free. You will make it easy for employees to know how to exercise stock options and restricted stock units, and a clear understanding of tax implications.
  • You will measure the impact of our rewards programs and course correct.
  • You are able to crisply answer questions on technical/functional matters and topics such as compensation philosophy and programs.
  • You will ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of progressive total rewards experience with startup/scaling experience
  • Expert or deep working knowledge on equity compensation
  • Alignment to our mission and values
  • Proven analytical and data-driven approach
  • You have build strong relationships with executives and managers
  • Outside-in perspective to stay up-to-date with market trends while building engagement
  • You inspire confidence and develop effective governance approaches
  • You operate with the highest degree of care
  • Experience navigating several HRIS-related SaaS and tools (familiarity with Ultipro and Charthop a plus)
