We currently have a unique opportunity for an HR Director to join our team! This role will be highly involved in helping us to achieve our mission to Make Employees Happier. We are looking for a self-motivated leader with the ability to partner with our executive leadership on HR strategy across the organization while also maintaining policies and procedures as our company continues to scale. Additionally, this will be a great opportunity for you to have an outside HR influence through our clients on a global scale and give your HR input to our product!

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with our Founder & CEO on HR strategy and procedure across the organization.
  • Act as a coach for employees by being available to solve employee issues and concerns. Become a trusted advisor and assist managers in making and executing performance improvement and disciplinary decisions
  • Own the TINYpulse Compensation strategy and execution from a business planning, talent acquisition and retention focus.
  • Lead, select, schedule, and plan for quarterly hands-on company trainings and engagement initiatives
  • Own and maintain the Capitalization Table, equity grant, exercise and forfeiture process. This includes coordinating with our brokers and service providers to ensure complete and accurate records are constantly maintained
  • Manage new hire onboarding process
  • Act as the chair of the Culture Committee. Develop programming and training based off of employee feedback
  • Prepare and process payroll on a semi-monthly basis
  • Perform benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Manage I-9s, E-Verify, COBRA, and unemployment claims. Keep up to date on Washington State Employment Laws and Regulations
  • Be the lead on recruiting by assisting in role clarification and job descriptions and leading interview kickoffs and debriefs with the hiring managers
  • Work with our external recruiting partner on job offers and offer letter paperwork 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years’ experience in an HR Manager or Senior Generalist role with direct reports
  • Change management experience within a growing organization
  • Prior lead or management aptitude is required
  • HRIS implementation experience required
  • SHRM or PHR certification required
  • Strong project management and change management skills
  • Meticulous about organization, documentation, communication and efficiency
  • A deep caring for culture development
  • Highly self motivated with a can-do attitude
  • Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness
  • Ability to be confidential, objective, sensitive and fair
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make recommendations that will resolve issues in a way that is consistent with TINYpulse values, best practices, regulation and law
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and ambiguity while remaining calm and controlled
