Job Summary:

As part of the Human Resources team, the HR Generalist touches all business units from a tactical and strategic perspective. This field-based role is responsible for managing various aspects of the Human Resources function for the assigned location(s), including onboarding, orientation, training, compliance, performance management, exit interviews, terminations, local office culture and employee engagement. The HR Generalist will partner with business unit managers to execute on initiatives related to the overall people and business strategies and serve as a resource to employees by managing change, communicating frequently and clearly addressing employee relations concerns. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Act as a resource and trusted partner to employees by explaining processes, procedures, or providing information needed on general employment topics. Interact frequently with general employee base and keep pulse on potential concerns and general morale.
  • Execute HR strategies by educating the first line management team and employees on new initiatives. 
  • Advise, address and resolve employee relations issues in conjunction with managers, including investigations
  • Support change management by communicating the how and why behind the change with a positive interface
  • Create and execute developmental or informative trainings; oversee compliance training
  • Work with Management on organizational changes and provide feedback to HR leadership for review, approval and execution
  • Participate and provide feedback on strategic HR meetings to help guide the direction of important HR initiatives
  • Support the talent acquisition team and recruiters with candidate scheduling and candidate experience. Assist with recruiting events and planning.


Required Qualifications:


  • A minimum education level of: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources or related field
  • Years of related work experience: 3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or related position in HR
  • Travel: Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time to multiple locations throughout the US
  • Must be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Must be able to make tough decisions and deal with difficult situations emotionally, professionally and confidentially


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience using a Human Capital system; preferably SAP SuccessFactors
  • HR Certification, such as SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR preferred
