Corporate Communications is looking to hire a contractor for internal communications. This person will partner with corp comms, HR, and the executive team to complete the following activities:

Job Duties

• Partner with the corporate communications to construct and implement programs, processes and written communications targeted at Avalara employees.
• Collaborate with partners across HR & corporate experience functions, globally, to support communications execution and assist with consistency and clarity of message.
• Partner with marketing, external communications, and other communications partners on integrated communications plans (policy, product launches, PR, social).
• Consult with team leads on their communication and change management strategies.
• Contribute to, writing, editing, and distribution of content across diverse channels including intranet, email, newsletters, social media, recruitment sites, live events, digital signage, etc..
• Support internal leadership team communications and all company meetings.
• Help develop and manage a new Intranet & employee communications calendar.

Qualifications 

• 2-3 years employee/corporate communications or related experience
• Articulate and persuasive communicator with zero-defect writing skills
• Willing to work in a fast-paced and flexible work environment
• Experience with a global team with many types of audiences and channels
• Ability to work with distributed teams
• Experience with events and logistics management
• Ability to work across multiple organizations and business units with a track record of using traditional and emerging communication tools and technologies
• Executive presence, high level of professionalism, confidentiality and judgment
• BA/BS degree required

Preferred Qualifications 

• Additional experience working in human resources, including learning and development, benefits and compensation, etc.
• Direct experience working in executive communications
