About the Role

Our global HR team is growing and looking for a Manager, People Operations to lead our newly formed People Operations team. You will support the administration, execution, and continuous improvement of the People Ops strategy.

You will oversee the daily administration, including HRIS and related systems support, implementation of Remitly policies, and the administration of HR compliance. You'll help administer our contingent workforce, serve as a partner for HRBPs in the operational execution of the people practices that span across the employee lifecycle - onboarding, performance review, promotions, career development, engagement, recognition, and retention.

You will report to the Sr. Manager People Operations and partner with our global HR teams. You will not be insular to the People and HR team, instead it will require engagement with employees and business leaders to ensure our programs strike the right balance between adding maximum value, raising our game in previously underserved areas, with a focus on simplicity. You can be based in our Seattle HQ or remote in the U.S.

You Will:

  • Manage the people operations and administration functions for the employee lifecycle from onboarding to talent and performance management through off-boarding.
  • Lead a small team of global operations coordinators focused on operational excellence and people experience and build the team as we scale.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of up-to-date policies, employee handbooks, templates and programs to ensure compliance needs and team goals are met.
  • Oversee the administration of the global mobility program.
  • Manage the contingent workforce including vendor, contracts, onboarding and off-boarding (contractors, temps, interns).
  • Manage the HR FreshService ticketing, resolution and escalation of issues using a tiered framework.
  • Oversee HRIS administration of systems and softwares like UltiPro, ChartHop, Culture Amp, Tribute, Convercent.
  • Manage status updates, relevant metrics on all operational activities in partnership with People Data Analytics Leader.
  • Have a global mindset to ensure that our processes are inclusive to all employees wherever they reside.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in an HR administration, operations, or generalist role
  • 1+ years of people management experience
  • HR functional expertise; experience in employment law matters, contingent workforce, immigration, and compliance
  • You have experience supporting people operations in high-growth environments.
  • You are a builder who works through ambiguity and enjoys solving complex challenges in a scaling environment
  • Alignment to our mission and values
  • Experience building People Operations programs in compliance with applicable laws
  • You are a recognized expert known for your collaboration and relish in building and improving upon processes
  • You enjoy testing and iterating to support continuous improvement
