Job Description

What We Do: The People/HR Team at PayScale builds and optimizes high performing teams. We are looking to evolve and scale our business by building efficiencies, introducing refined processes and workflows. Our next phase of growth will focus on further partnering and developing our team. As an HR professional you will support, develop and/or manage these efforts.

What You Do: You will deliver high impact work in the areas of HR advising, consulting and employee relations to our teams. Additionally, as a strategic HR influencer you will deliver value to our core HR functions.

Day-in-the-Life: As a Sr. HR Generalist, a typical day may include the following…

  • Effective and progressive employee relations management. Strong communication ability, encouraging self-reflection, a growth attitude and accountability that drives business results
  • Build training and development tools for leaders and drive leadership efficiency for the company
  • Provide HR advisement & coaching across departments, ability to influence and support leadership
  • Engage and educate employees and managers around HR policies and programs, across multiple locations
  • Project management and/or HR operational management in one or more of the following areas Employee Relations, Benefits, Compliance, HR Operations, HR Technology (HRIS), Performance Management
  • Ability to find opportunities for People Process, Programs or Experience for our people and design, lead & deliver solutions in collaboration with cross functional teams.
  • Driving and delivering People data and analytics, based on organization needs and driving insights that drive business decisions, using existing dashboards, HRIS data, and leveraging our people team
  • Support other processes, projects and team members as required

First Year in Role:

  • Month 3: As a trusted adviser, manage complex employee relations concerns, while delivering high impact work within core HR functions (Total Rewards, People Management & Development, Compliance)
  • Month 6: As a leadership influencer you bring innovative development solutions and support to the organizations day to day HR operations
  • Month 12: You have developed relationships across leadership teams, you add value cross functionally, you offer HR thought leadership

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 5+ years previous HR Generalist / HR Advisor experience
  • Strong Experience in employee relations, subject matter expert with at least 3 years of progressive experience consulting on FMLA, ACA, ERISA, ADA etc.
  • Current PHR/SHRM-CP certification
  • Successful track record of establishing credibility and trust with a diverse and remote employee base
  • Build and develop partnerships with geographically distributed employees
  • Proficient with HR Technology, HCM systems and reporting
